Dyslexics are 10% of the population, 35% of entrepreneurs and 41% of prisoners. DEN is going to change the story of dyslexia, dyscalculia, ADHD and similar labels into one of strengths, not shame. With support, all members of DEN will be able to own who they are, understand it and, best of all, love it.
Come down to the SOMA Street Food Park and join us for a bite to eat while you network with fellow dyslexics. We will plan on meeting at noon in the main building and will put signs on a couple tables so you can find us.
Keen.io will be hosting the second event, and the first of monthly gatherings put on by DEN and it's members. This even will be an un-conference style event, with 3 speakers talking about some aspects relvent to Dyslexia and Entrepreneurship to kick things off, followed by breakout session which will be drawn from attendee submitted ideas in addition to a number of topics thought about by members of DEN in advance. Attendees will decide which of the topics are most interesting. Some examples:

Silicon Valley Bank is proud to host the launch of the Dyslexia Entrepreneurship Network on Jan. 25th, 2016 at Lucasfilm in the Presidio of San Francisco. This private event will include an intimate conversation with successful dyslexic members of the innovation economy including Charles Schwab, Scott Sandell as well as a number of emerging dyslexic entrepreneurs.
Dyslexics are 10% of the general population but are 35% of the entrepreneurs in the US. Speakers and panelists will highlight their experiences and the strengths that came from dyslexia that help them on their path as well as offer insight on how other dyslexic entrepreneurs can avoid some of the pitfalls that they encountered.
The gathering will bring together dyslexic entrepreneurs from across the country and especially those from Silicon Valley. Audience members will have an opportunity to participate in a Q&A with panelists and be invited to participate in future events organized by the Dyslexia Entrepreneurship Network (DEN).
